Revisions to Ofsted's Common Inspection Framework mean that colleges are now required to actively promote Equality & Diversity in the classroom - but what does this mean in practice? The day is aimed at tutors, lecturers, advanced practitioners, subject learning coaches and curriculum managers in FE Colleges. By the end of the day you will not only have gained a genuine insight into this challenging, cross-cutting theme, but you will also have

• A raised awareness of the E&D requirements in the revised inspection framework
• Greater confidence to promote E&D in your college, both inside and outside the classroom
• Knowledge of how to incorporate E&D into schemes of work and lesson planning
• A set of clear performance indicators for use in classroom observation and/or peer evaluation

The day will be facilitated by Stella Dadzie whose reputation as a specialist Equality & Diversity trainer is second to none. With over twenty years' experience in the field, her practical, common sense approach to Equality & Diversity issues has gained her a national reputation. She is the author of numerous E&D resources, including good practice guides, e-learning materials and guidance for Managers and Leaders. In 2003 she was awarded the NBM's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Race Equality.

The workshop will be held at the 2nd floor Meeting Room at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre Town Hall Approach Road London N15 4RX between 10.00am - 4.30 pm on 27 January 2010.

The event will cost £350 per person, but why not take advantage of the early bird option which entitles you to a £50 discount if you book by 31 December. This reduction is also offered to Colleges sending two or more delegates.
