Stella Dadzie was born in 1952 and is of
Anglo-Ghanaian heritage.

She has specialised in Race and Equality-related training,
research, capacity building and consultancy work for over 20 years.

In 1985, her book the Heart of the Race: Black Women's Lives
in Britain won the Martin Luther King Award for Literature.

She is a trained teacher, and was a manager in a large FE College
prior to setting up FRONT LINE TRAINING in 1988.

She is the author of a number of key publications and
resources aimed at promoting good practice in colleges,
schools, local councils and other public bodies.

She is an excellent motivational speaker and has spoken at
conferences and seminars in Germany, Holland, Belgium, France,
Norway, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Poland, South Africa,
Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and the USA.

She has many years experience of developing and facilitating
training programmes for corporation members, senior and
operational managers and all grades of staff throughout
the Learning & Skills Sector, as well as for schools,
universities, local councils and voluntary groups.

She is active in the UNESCO Institute of Education's 10 year
global programme to promote literacy and adult learning for
migrants and refugees.

She was a Commissioner on the GLA Mayor of London's Heritage
Commission to raise the profile and contribution of African
and Asian communities across London's Heritage sector.

In November 2003, she received the NBM Award for Outstanding
Contributions to Race Equality in Further Education.
SUMMARY
Since 1988 when she established FRONT LINE TRAINING, Stella Dadzie
has worked with a wide range of providers in the public, independent
and voluntary sectors, both in Britain and overseas. During this time, whe
has established a national and international reputation for her expertise
in Race Equality and Diversity and her professional, common-sense approach.
Her reputation as a trainer and motivational speaker is second to
none. Her customers include leaders, managers, practitioners and front line
staff in Further and Higher Education, Local Authorities, Schools, Youth
careers, Housing and Social Services, Training and Community Organisations.
She has also worked closely with the Learning & Skills Development
Agency, the TEC National Council, NIACE(The National Adult Learners
Organisation), the Commission for Racial Equality and the Learning &
Skills Council, for whom she has written and compiled numerous publications.
