Stella is a founder member of NIACE's Race & Education Policy Committee (now NIACE's Black Practitioner's & Learners Network). She has produced several NIACE publications that promote good practice with black and other ethnic minority adult learners.
She is the author of MAKING A DIFFERENCE: A Resource Pack for People who want to become more Active Citizens (NIACE, 1999), which contains practical activities to develop active citizenship skills for community capacity-building.
