Aims

This resource aims to give you a good introduction to Race Equality, with a particular focus on the challenges for colleges and other learning and skills providers.

In line with the Commission for Black Staff in FE's remit, its main focus is on Employment and Human Resource issues. However, many of the topics covered will be of relevance to teaching, learning and learner support services.

I have a better idea of what Race Equality means in practice for me and my colleagues, team or committee

I have thought about any further training I might need in this area

I have identified the documents that are most relevant to my role and responsibilities and I know where to go if I need to revisit them or find out more

Target Group

This E-learning resource has been developed for the Commission for Black Staff in FE for use by governors, managers and staff in FE Colleges.

It will be relevant to many others who work in the Learning & Skills Sector, including LSC officers. Inspectors, people responsible for Staff Development, Adult & Community Learning, Work-Based Learning or Vocational Training and their partners.
